Ingredients

Ingredients
Avocado Topping:
2 ripe avocados
1 lime
1 teaspoon dried onion
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Cheese topping:
6 slices cheddar cheese
Patties:
2 pounds ground chuck
1/4 cup crushed red pepper
1/4 cup dried sliced onion
1 Tablespoon oregano
1/2 cup steak sauce
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1 packet instant oatmeal (apple cinammon)
6 Kaiser rolls
Colavita olive oil

Instructions

Directions: First, preheat either the gas or charcoal grill on medium heat for about 15 minutes. Next, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit and scoop out the insides and place them in a small bowl. Then cut the lime in half and squeeze out the juice from both halves into the bowl. Then mix in the onion and red pepper. After this has been mixed together, put the avocado topping in the refrigerator to chill. Next, if necessary, scrape off any remaining debris on the grill. Then brush the grill with olive oil before putting the patties on. For the patties, combine the ground beef, red pepper, sliced onion, oregano, steak sauce, barbeque sauce and instant oatmeal. Form the meat into tight patties (about six). Then grease a cookie sheet with olive oil. Next, place the raw patties on the cookie sheet. While on the cookie sheet, coat the top of each patty with olive oil. Then place the patties on the grill and cook for about 10 minutes on each side (or to your satisfaction). When the patties are cooked, spread the avocado mixture on both sides of each bun, place on your patty and then put one slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Finally, enjoy!
