Merlot

Get cozy and get pouring. Our Merlot is the wine for long weekends and lengthy chats.

Ingredients

2 pounds ground chuck
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 ounce block of cream cheese, softened
7 ounce jar green olives stuffed with pimentos, drained and chopped
4 ounce block blue cheese, crumbled
3/4 cup Durkee Grill Creations, Steak Dust
1 teaspoon vodka
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
3 tablespoons vegetable oil for brushing on the grill rack
6 good quality hamburger buns, split

Instructions

Add minced garlic to ground chuck and form 6 equal size patties.
With a sharp knife, cut a slit horizontally into the meat stopping half way through the patty.
Fold the top part of the patty back, making sure it does not rip apart from the base.
Cut the cream cheese into 6-1″ cubes and flatten down using your fingers.
Lay 1 piece of the cream cheese on the bottom portion of the patty, top with 1 tablespoon of chopped green olives and top that with 2 teaspoons of blue cheese.
Fold the top portion of the patty over, sealing the sides and top, creating a stuffed burger.
Roll each patty in the steak dust coating the entire patty.
Wisk together the vodka and mayonnaise and place in refrigerator until ready to spread on cooked patties.
Preheat gas grill to medium high.
Brush oil on grill rack and place patties on rack, cover and cook, turning once, cooking 7-9 minutes on each side.
During the last 2 minutes of grilling, place buns, cut side down on outer edge of upper grill rack to toast lightly.
To assemble burgers, spread equal portions of the vodka mayonnasie mixture on the bottom portion of each bun, place patty on top of vokda/mayonnaise spread and place bun top on patty. Serve!
