2/3 cup Traditional Marinara Sauce
2 tablespoons Italian Bread Crumbs
½ teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoonSeasoning Salt
½ teaspoon Garlic & Herb Seasoning
Vegetable Oil for brushing grill rack
6 thin slices fresh mozzarella, approximately 4 inches in diameter
6 English Muffins, split into top and bottom
2 thin slices red onion, separated into rings
6 green pepper rings, thinly sliced
6 large tomato slices, about 1/4 inch thick

Instructions

Preheat gas grill to 400 degrees with lid closed. To sauté mushrooms, place grill-safe metal 10-inch skillet on preheated grill rack. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in skillet. Add 2 cloves minced fresh garlic, and sauté until lightly browned, approximately 3-5 minutes. Add 4 ounces sliced mushrooms, toss and add 2 tablespoons Sutter Home Pinot Grigio. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until mushrooms have absorbed most of the liquid and are soft. Remove from grill, drain off excess liquid, cover and set aside. Adjust grill heat to maintain grill at 400 degrees for later use. To prepare burgers, add 1½ pounds lean ground beef to large mixing bowl. Add ½ pound  Italian Sausage, 2/3 cup Traditional Marinara Sauce, 2 tablespoons Italian Bread Crumbs, ½ teaspoon garlic salt, ½ teaspoon Seasoning Salt, ½ teaspoon Garlic & Herb Seasoning. Thoroughly mix all ingredients. Tightly shape beef mixture into 6 round patties. Brush preheated grill rack with vegetable oil. Place patties gently onto grill rack, cover and cook about 8-12 minutes on first side, depending on grill. Turn patty and cook approximately 5-7 minutes until desired doneness or until internal temperature reaches 170 degrees Fahrenheit. Add fresh mozzarella slice to each burger, allow to melt 1-2 minutes on grill with lid closed. Remove patties from grill and place on platter, cover with aluminum foil. Place tops and bottoms of English Muffins cut side down on grill until lightly browned, remove from grill. To Assemble burgers, take bottom of each English muffin, add patty with melted mozzarella, add 2 red onion rings, one slice green pepper, tomato slice, and top of English muffin. Serve immediately.
