Ingredients

2 lbs. ground chuck
1 Tbl. Montreal Steak seasoning
3 jalapeno peppers
2 green onions
1 cup grated sharp cheddar
6 slices bacon, cooked crisp 
charcoal, ready when white, glowing embers
6 slices american cheese 6 toasted buns

 

Instructions

Mix steak seasoning into beef. Mince jalapenos and green onions in food processor. Stir into meat and set aside. Grate cheese. Set aside. Cook bacon crisply. Let cool. Crumble bacon into cheese and separate into 6 portions. Separate meat into 12 balls. Flatten each in the palm of your hand. Take one patty and form a well in your hand. Place one helping of cheese mixture into patty and place another patty on top, sealing sides well. Place on hot grill. Let cook for 6-7 minutes and turn 1/4 turn for grill marks. Continue cooking for 3-4 minutes, Turn over and let finish cooking. Top with american cheese, let melt and place on toasted buns.
