Ingredients

Teriyaki Sauce:
4 teaspoons white vinegar
4 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon ground ginger
4 teaspoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
4 tablespoons brown sugar
Patties:
2 pounds ground sirloin
4 fresh garlic cloves, minced
6 tablespoons Sutter Home Moscato wine
Vegetable oil, for brushing onto to grill
6 pineapple slices
6 slices mozzarella cheese
6 Oat Nut hamburger buns
4 ounces of Clove & Onion cream cheese, for spreading
6 red lettuce leaves
6 avocado slices

Instructions

Preheat gas grill to medium heat (approximately 400-450 degrees). Prepare the teriyaki sauce by combining vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, garlic powder, sesame seeds, and brown sugar together in a small bowl. Set aside. Place the ground sirloin in a larger, separate bowl. Add the minced garlic and then slowly pour the Moscato wine over the top of the sirloin and garlic. Mix together the ground sirloin, garlic, and Moscato wine just one time. Slowly pour 2/3 of the teriyaki mixture over the ground sirloin, setting the remaining 1/3 teriyaki mixture aside. Mix the ground sirloin, garlic, Moscato wine, and teriyaki mixture together in the bowl by working it with your hands as little as possible. Separate the mixture into 6 equal patties. Brush the grill rack with vegetable oil. Place the patties on the grill and cook for approximately 5 minutes on one side with grill cover down. Turn the patties over and continue cooking for another 5 minutes, covered. Place mozzarella cheese slices on the tops of patties and the pineapple slices directly on the grill rack. The buns can be placed on the grill, also. After your buns are lightly toasted, remove them from the grill and spread the chive & onion cream cheese on both halves of the bun. Now remove the pineapple from the grill and place it on the bottom halves of the buns. Remove the patties from the grill and place on top of the pineapple. Top each patty with a lettuce leaf and avocado slice. Using a spoon, take the remaining teriyaki sauce and lightly pour a figure “s” over the top of each burger stack. Place the top halves of bun on top, and they are ready to be served. Makes 6 burgers.
