Surf and Turf Burger

The best of the land and sea between a bun.This pairing makes this a burger fit for a king. The burger has all the flavors of a traditional burger but makes it better with a taste of the sea!


1 lb of ground sirlon
1/4 cup of worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon of fresh ground ginger
1 pinch ground black pepper for burger and shrimp
1 pinch salt for burger and shrimp
2 tablespoons minced garlic for burger and shrimp
1/2 lb medium shrimp peeled and deveined tails off
1/2 cup butter sauce
1/2 cup of mayo
2 teaspoons of dijon mustard
baby spinich leaves
2 cups gruyer cheese
4 kaiser rolls
1 cup sliced mushroom
1/2 red onion sliced
2 tablespoons balsamic vinager


In a bowl mix together the ground sirlon,worcestershire,ginger,garlic and salt and pepper mix well. Taking 1/4 of the mixture form four patties. place on grill pan under moderate heat cook to preference In a seperate bowl season shrimp with salt and pepper heat saute pan add butter when melted add mushrooms and onions till tender then add shrimp and balsamic vinegar cook until flesh turns pinkish and opaque in color set aside. place each burger on kaiser rolls top with shrimp mushrooms and onions and a layer of gruyer cheese place on baking sheet and bake until cheese is melted and rolls get lightly toasted while in the oven mix together mayo and dijon mustard take burgers out of oven and top with spinich leaves spread sauce on top bun and serve Enjoy
