Summertime Herb BBQ burger

Reach for our Chardonnay when you’re in the mood for a rich and creamy wine that delights with the fruity flair of pear, apple, and peach.

Ingredients

1 lb ground sirloin beef
1 cup BBQ sauce
1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
2 tb finely chopped parsley
2 tb finely chopped greek oregano
2 cloves finely chopped garlic
1 t sea salt
1 t coarse black pepper
4 Chibatta bread buns
2 Tb olive oil
4 slices of swiss lace cheese
8 slices of Roma tomatoes
1 cup of baby spinach
4 Tb mayonaise
2 tb of finely chopped chives

 

Instructions

1. Heat BBQ coals on the grill. 2. Gently mix ground beef, BBQ sauce, red onion, parsley, oregano, garlic, sea salt and pepper in a bowl. 3. Make 4 tennis balls with the meat, and flatten into patties(do not overwork the mixed meat) Set aside. 4. In a small bowl, mix the mayonaise and chopped chives. Set aside. 5. Place patties on hot coals. Cook both sides until desired tenderness. Remove from grill. 6. Immediately place a slice of Swiss cheese on each cooked hamburger 7. Brush the inside of each sliced Chibatta bun with olive oil 8. Place sliced Chibatta buns face down on the grill. Remove after 1 minute. 9. Assemble each burger in this order: bun, burger, 2 tomatoe slices, spinach and top with herb mayo, bun. ENJOY~!
