steakhouse burger

We love to grill during the summer. I was tired of the same burger and I experimented until I found a recipe that tasted like a burger we love to get from a small cafe. These are so good and tender you can eat two. They taste like a hamburger from a steakhouse. The bacon, milk and bread mixture make a great paste and puts the moisture back in the lean meat. I named them the Steakhouse burger.

5 slices bacon cooked with fat drippings
2 slices white bread crust removed and cut into 1/2 in squares
1/2 cup whole milk
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
2 tbs dale sauce
1 tbs parsley
1 tbs salt free steak seasoning
2 tsp celery salt
1 tbs pepper

1. Cook bacon over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Place bacon on lined paper towels. Spoon 3 tbs bacon fat into small bowl and put in refrigertor to cool for about 15 mins. 2. Place prepared bread and milk in a small bowl and mix together. Let sit for 10 mins. Use a fork to mash the milk and bread together. Break up beef into small pieces in a medium bowl. Add dale sauce, parsley, steak seasoning, celery salt and pepper. Add bacon fat to bread paste and stir together. Add this to the meat mixture. Knead together until well blended. Divide meat into four equal portions making a loose ball. Flatten to 3/4 in thick patty. 3. On a very hot grill place burgers, without pressing down on them, on open fire. sear on both sides until cooked through, about 5 mins. on each side. Serve with bacon on top if desired.

The best burger you have ever tasted!
