Spicy Mexi Burger

A mexican flavored burger, with a zesty sauce, and taco toppings.


2 lbs. hamburger
1/2 cup salsa
1/4 cup onions (finely diced)
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
6 buns buttered
6 slices of pepper-jack cheese
2 avocados (thinly sliced)
1 large tomato (sliced)
6 leaf of lettuce
1/4 cup of salsa
1/4 cup of mayo


Mix first six ingredients together. Divide into six equal balls, then patty. Place patties on grill and grill 7 to 10 minutes on each side. After turning the patties, place sheet of foil on grill and place buttered bun on top of foil. Toast for about 6 minutes. Place cheese on patties after removing buns from grill. Melt cheese for 1 to 3 minutes. Take patties and place on bottom half of bun, then put on a slice of tomato, slices of avocados to cover burger, and a leaf of lettuce. Mix salsa and mayo together and spread on top half of bun, place on top of burger.


Use your favorite type of salsa for the burgers and the same for the zesty spread. Any one can make these burgers as hot or mild as they wish, depending on the type of salsa one uses.
