Smoked Out Turkey Burger

My husband & I are always experimenting with new combinations of burgers. This is one I especially like when I'm watching my diet. It is full of flavor and very satisfying. Topped off with a good shiraz and I don't even crave dessert!


1 lb ground turkey breast meat
1 tbls olive oil
1/2 cup chopped crimmini mushrooms
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1/2 cup chopped fire roasted habenero peppers
1 tbls paprika
white wine
dijon mustard
sliced smoked gouda cheese
Fresh bakery burger buns


Combine ground meat, olive oil, mushrooms, salt, pepper, habenaro peppers. Make into 4 patties. sprinkle paprika evenly on both sides. Grill to taste. During last few minutes put on sliced gouda to melt. Prepare buns with Mustard and Mayo to taste.


Serve with Shiraz to bring out smokiness.
