santa fe turkey burger
We like this lighter grnd turkey version of our falcon burger, (also entered in contest) It is tasty and the kobe/grnd chuck gives it a little more flavor.
1 -1/2 lbs ground turkey
1/2 lb of ground amer. kobe burger and ground chuck 50/50 mixture
6 oz feta cheese
6 thin slices bermuda onion
sutter home merlot
thinly sliced avocado
lighltly knead ground meats together, roll into 6 equal balls & lightly press out patties, place on clean oiled grill (preferably on griddle to prevent flare ups and obtain max flavor, med high temp, grill till deep brown aprx 3-4 min, turn only once and grill till 160 degrees. just prior to taking off grill top with feta and splash of merlot. Place thin slice of bermuda onion on botton bun followed by burger w/ feta, top with heaping T. of salsa and finish with very thin slices of avocado and top bun. Enjoy!
More salsa can be used to taste as it is very tasty.
