Instructions

Direction:
Sauté on medium heat: onion, apple, basil till slightly tender about 10 minute. Add: maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook about 5 minutes more until lightly caramelized. Add cooked mixture to Hamburg and make 6 ½ pound round burgers.

Lay down some nonstick aluminum foil on the grating. Preheat gill to 200 degree’s. Put hamburgers on one side of the grill. Grill burgers for 10 minutes on one side and then turn over and grill for another 10 minutes on the other side. Then turn the hamburgers again for another 5 minutes. After 5 minutes turn the burgers over and add apple slices and cheese. Grill for about 3 minutes or until cheese is melted

While burgers are cooking:

On the other side of the grill lay down another sheet of nonstick aluminum foil. Take the slices of apple and brush them with the honey butter. Grill on each side for approximately 2-3 minutes until golden. Take apples off the grill and set aside in a bowl covered with aluminum foil to keep warm.

When burgers are done – place on roll and spread the top with the mayonnaise spread and sprinkle with chopped basil
