Pest Cheese Burger

This burger takes the ordinary out of burgers and makes an extrodinary taste. It compliments a nice red wine and has a way of dressing up a backyard cookout!


1 lb. ground beef
1/4 cup sutter home red wine
1/2 cup chopped, seeded tomato
1/4 Italian style bread crumbs
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 T dried onion flakes
1/4 cup fresh parmesan
1 t garlic salt
pepper to taste
i ball of fresh mozzarella(sliced in to 3/4 in slices)
1 jar of your favorite pesto sauce


Combine first nine ingredients. Prepare hamburgers as you normally would. Then slice the burger horizontally. Lay on slice of the fresh mozz on the bottom part and then top with other half of meat. make sure you seal the sides of the burger. ( May need a little more time reshaping into burger size).
Grill burgers. While burgers are grilling, toast the burger buns and spread with your favorite pesto sauce.


May like adding olives to this recipe, however, I do not care for olives.
