The textures and flavors in this fabulous combination will even win over your die hard beef eaters. So prepare these Peachy~Pineapple~Tropicale Turkey Burgers, turn on that island music, and relax in that laid-back island style.

Peachy~Pineapple~Tropicale Turkey Burgers
2 lbs. ground turkey
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tablespoon lemon grass herb blend (found in the produce dept.) 1 tablespoon white wine
1 cored peeled fresh pineapple (reserve juice)
2 fresh peaches
1 cup of white wine
1 cup of honey barbeque sauce
1 cup of pineapple preserves
non stick spray
6 slices thick cut bacon
6 slices of smoked gouda cheese
6 onion roll buns, slioced in half
3-4leaves of romaine lettuce , torn in to smaller pcs.
1/2 cup of mayonnaise

Combine turkey, garlic, salt, black pepper, lemon grass and wine in a .meduin size bowl. Shape into 6 patties. Refrigerate until ready to grill.Slice the pineapple into 6 equal rings. Save the pineapple juice. Cut the peaches in half and pit them. Lay the pineapple and peaches in shallow glass dish and pour 1 cup of white wine over. Set aside. Mix together honey bbq sauce and pineapple preserves, set aside. Prepare grill. Coat grill rack with non stick cooking spray, place on grill over meduim -hot coals. I have prepared this on both gas and charcol using these methods. Start by grilling your pineapple and peaches, grill until lightly brown aroung 3-6 minutes. Remove all the fruit from grill and slice each peach into 4 slices, cover and set aside. Lay bacon lenghtwise over grate, cook about 2 minunets per side or until brown. Remove to a plate with paper towels. Place the turkey burgers on next and cook 4-5 minutes on each side, after turning them brush them with the bbq preserves sauce mixture on all sides. Make sure you leave 1/4 of the sauce for assembly later. Now lay your onion buns on the grill and lightly toast both sides of rolls. Add the smoked gouda cheese slices, close lid on BBQ and cook for 1 minute. Remove the burgers and the buns from the grill. To assemble the burgers start with the bottom half of the onion roll brush bbq pineapple sauce mixture on bottom of bun, add turkey burger, grilled pineapple slice, 2 slices of grilled peaches, cut a peice of bacon in half and lay both peices on top .Add a small peice of romaine lettuce, and finally spread mayonnaise on the top of the onion roll. Repeat for next 5 burgers. Makes six Peachy~Pineapple~Tropicale Turkey Burgers.

Hi, guys at Sutter Home! Hope you love this fun and yummy burger. Grilling out down here in Florida is part of our lives. It's just a great excuse to get friends and family together. And sometimes it's the only way we can cook!!! Two summers ago Labor Day weekend we were without power from one of our many hurricanes that season, we rallied our neighbors togher and we grilled 36 burgers and 2 dozen brats. Burgers never tasted so good. Hope so hear from you soon! Sara
