PB Thai Burger

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
3 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 pounds ground chuck
1 tablespoon seasoning salt
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Vegetable oil (for grill)
1 large sweet red pepper, seeded and sliced thin
6 wheat pitas
6 romaine lettuce leafs

 

Instructions

Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover, or preheat gas grill to medium-high. Combine 2 tablespoons lime juice, 3 tablespoons smooth peanut butter, and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Set aside Combine 2 pounds ground chuck with 1 tablespoon seasoning salt and 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes (Handle the meat as little as possible to avoid compacting beef) Combine peanut butter mixture with ground beef, and form into 6 burger patties Brush grill with vegetable oil. Place burgers on grill Cook on each side for 12 minutes Place sliced red peppers on the grill for 4 minutes flip red peppers and grill for additional 4 minutes. Place pitas on the grill for 5 minutes. Cut top off of pita to fit burger, insert lettuce leaf and burger.
