Nilgi Burgers

Pairs well with:

Cabernet Sauvignon

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.

Ingredients

1 pound ground Nilgi meat (indian antelope hunted in South Texas) 2 Tbsp gourmet steak seasoning
1 Tbsp Sutter Home Cabernet Sauvignon
1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
1/2 Tbsp minced onion
cheddar or american cheese slices
greenhouse tomato slices
red onion slices
iceberg lettuce leaves
grilled onion buns

Instructions

Combine Nilgi, seasoning, wine, garlic, and onion in a bowl and mix with hands to combine. Divide into four equal portions and form four patties approximately 3/4 inch thick. Grill over medium high heat for 5 minutes a side (for medium rare). During last couple of minutes of grilling, top with cheese and place onion buns sliced side down until toasted. Meanwhile, prepare sliced tomatoes, sliced red onions, and iceberg lettuce leaves on a platter. Serve burgers and buns and fixings along with favorite condiments for everyone to prepare their own burger their way.
