Montreal Burger

I serve this burger at my small cafe in upstate New York. We tried it once as a special and now people request it all of the time.


90 % lean fresh ground beef
fresh ground black pepper
garlic powder
onion powder
crushed red pepper
grilled canadian bacon
swiss cheese
4 large beer battered onion rings
roasted garlic & crushed red pepper mayo
1 fresh grilled onion bagel


1. Grill the seasoned ground beef patty and top with swiss cheese. 2. Fry the onion rings and set aside. 3. Grill the Canadian bacon. 4. Butter and grill (not toast) the onion bagel. 5. Assemble the burger (bottom to top): Spread a thin layer of the roasted garlic and crushed red pepper mayonaise on the bottom of the bagel; Canadian bacon, grilled burger patty topped with melted swiss cheese; onion rings; Canadian bacon; spread a little more mayo on top half of bagel and the burger is complete!


It is one of my top selling burgers at the cafe and my personal favorite. Enjoy!
