Growing up in an Italian house would mean that anything you made had to have an Italian flavor about it even a Burger. If you had a Burger left over you would usually find it in that weeks sauce.
1lb ground beef
1/4 lb ground pork
1 egg large
1/4cup Italian Bread crumbs
1/4 cup (or more)of parmasian cheese
mince onion to taste (optional)
Salt and Fresh Ground Pepper to taste
In a medium size bowl mix all ingrediants together. I use my hands so that I am sure that everything is really mixed together. Form into five fat burgers,don't flatten them. Cook on heated grill until they are medium well this burger should be juicy not dry. Serve on a fresh deli bun with condiments of your choice.
I like to have mine reaaly decked out with Lettuce,Tomato,Onion,Munster cheese,and a mix of Mayo and Ketchup.
