Mediterranean Art Burger

Pairs well with:

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.

Ingredients

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 clove garlic-finely minced
2 tbsp oil packed sundried tomatoes- finely minced
1 tbsp fresh basil- finely chopped
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 tsp dry mustard- mixed with 1 1/2 tsp cold water
1/2 cup marinated artichokes- drained and chopped
1/4 cup pimiento stuffed green olives-chopped
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
2 lbs. fresh ground chuck
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
vegetable oil for brushing grill
6 sesame hamburger buns
6 preco

 

Instructions

Seasoning Mix: mix olive oil with the pepper,garlic,dried tomatoes and basil. set aside Mediterranean Mayonnaise: Mix mayonnaise with the mustard mix in bowl. Add the artichokes, the olives, the cayenne and the parmesan. Mix well and refrigerate. Patties: Spread the ground beef out on a flat pan. Sprinkle with the salt, the pepper, and two tbsp. of the seasoning mix. Lightly mix the beef and form into six patties sized to be the size of the buns. Preheat gas grill to medium high. Brush grill with vegetable oil. Place patties on the grill and grill about 4-5 minutes per side til medium done. During the last couple of minutes of grilling place the cut side of the buns down on the grill to lightly toast. Brush toasted sides of bread with the remaining seasoning mix. To Assemble: Spread each cut side of buns with the mayonnaise. Place a cooked patty between the two bun halves . Serve and enjoy
