Meatloaf Burger

My father-in-law loves meatloaf and when we needed something to bbq this is what I came up with.

1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 pound ground sausage
3 T. egg beaten
1 cup bread crumbs
1/2 red onion; finely diced.
1/8 cup ketchup
1/8 cup bbq sauce
1/8 cup deli style mustard
2 T. Worcestershire Sauce
2 T. Balsalmic Vinegar
1 t. sage
1 t. pepper
1 t. salt
1 t. oregano
1/4 cup basil; finely chopped
1/4 cup mayonaise
6 kaiser rolls
1 bag of mixed greens

Preheat Grill to high heat.

Mix together ground beef and sausage until well blended.
Then add egg and bread crumbs and mix together until well blended.
Add diced red onions.
Add additional wet ingredients and mix until well blended.
Mix in spices.

Line a cookie sheet with Parchment Paper and form you 6 patties. Let them set in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Place burgers on grill and cook for 5 minutes on each side.

Mix basil and mayonaise together to create a spread.

When you have about 3 minutes left, toast Kaiser Buns face down on the grill.

When buns and burgers are done, lightly spread mayo mixture onto both sides of the bun, cover with mixed greens and burger. You are ready to enjoy!

I cook my burgers well done. You can add cheese, but I don
