Lorenzo Burger

This creation was inspired by our love for spice, Tex-Mex and our favorite mexican food restaurant which it is named after. They don't do burgers, but we thought this was a great tribute to their great food.

2 lbs. ground brisket
1 – 8oz. Package Three Cheese - Natural Cheese Crumbles (Monterey Jack, Colby & Cheddar Cheese)
¼ cup firmly packed Pickled Jalapeno slices (chopped)
¼ teaspoon Finely ground cumin
½ teaspoon Ground chipotle chile
1 teaspoon Salt
Non-stick BBQ Grill Spray
3 Tablespoons Butter – softened at room temperature
6 Large Sesame buns - toasted
2 Avocados - sliced

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground brisket, package of cheese, chopped jalapenos, finely ground cumin, ground chipotle chile and salt. Mix all ingredients together until well blended. 2. Spray grill with non-stick BBQ Spray before you pre-heat gas grill to 425° F 3. Divide meat mixture into 6 – 7oz. balls. Flatten balls to form patties and push your index finger into the middle of the patty then set aside on a platter. Continue making the rest of the patties. 4. Place patties on grill and cook for 5 minutes – close lid. 5. While patties are cooking, brush buns with melted butter. 6. Turn patties once and cook for 4 more minutes. (These will be medium to well-done) 7. After two minutes, put buns on grill and let cook for 2 minutes or until toasted. 8. Remove patties and buns. 9. Put miracle whip or Hellmann’s on bun. Put patty on bun and top with 3-4 slices of avocado. 10. Serve immediately.

I hope you enjoy this easy to make recipe. You can also broil them in the oven which is nice because if you live where you can't do a grill, you can still enjoy the wonderful flavors.
