Lemon teriyaki burger

Most people here in Las Vegas are from somewhere else including myself. So I think anything can be great local American burger, especially here. Las Vegas is the only place that you can taste many different cities all in once. So this is one of great taste of Las Vegas.

Ingredients:

For lemon teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup white wine (dry)
1/4 cup lemonade
1/4 cup mirin
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoons red papper flake
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoons ginger minced
1/4 cup green onion chopped
2 teaspoons lemon zest
2 lemon pealed & skined
2 teaspoons corn starch
2 tablespoons water

For burger
1 pound of beef sirloin
1 pound of beef chuck
1 tablespoon ginger minced
2 tablespoons green onion chopped
2 teaspoons *johnny’s seasoning salt
1/2 black pepper
canola oil for brushing a grill and meat

Johnny’s seasoning is from Washington state where my husband is from. His family use it just about everything and so do I.

topping
1 cup bean sprout Hair removed & lightly blanch
1 cup carrots julienne & lightly blanch
1 cup English cucumber julienne
1 juice of lime
2 teaspoons sesami oil
2 teaspoons sesami seeds
1.1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
salt and pepper for taste

6 sesami buns
6 leaves of lettuce

Instructions:

Make teriyaki sauce first
combaine all ingredients except corn starch and water for teriyaki sauce into small sauce pan and simmer for 12-15 minutes. before take out of heat, mix water and corn starch and put into the pan and mix together.
Second, make topping.
bean sprout: removed hair and blanch them lightly and shock into cold water. carrot cut into julienne and blanch them same way as bean sprout. and cut cucumber into julienne. Mix all three Vege into a bowl put soy sauce, lime jusce, sesami oil and sesami seeds mix together. put them into a refrigerator.
Third make burgers
combine meat and all ingredients for burger into a bowl and mix together.
Preheat a grill to medium high heat. Brush a grill and burgers with oil and cook them 3-4 minutes on each side.
During cooking burgers, dip into teriyaki sauce a few times. not brush it.
Toast split buns lightly &pile lettuce, burger , topping.
