Kel's Burgers

Hello. Stan Girnas here.  I named this recipe after my wife Kelly because she loves them better than anything else I make.


1 1/2 ground beef
1/4 cup basil pesto
1 large garlic cloved - minced
1/4 cup of oil packed sun dried tomatoes
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
oil for the grill (I use olive oil)
6 onion rolls
6 slices of provolone cheese
tomato slices
1 large purple onion, thinly sliced


Combine beef, pesto, garlic, sun dried tomatoes and salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly and shape into 6 patties. Brush grill lightly with oil. Grill burgers to desired doneness. Top with cheese slices just before burgers finish cooking. Serve burgers on onion rolls qwith the mayonnaise, tomatoes and onion slices.


My wife Kelly does not have that big of an appetite, but she can easily eat 3 of these burgers.
