Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.

This recipe celebrates the local produce of peaches. When I was young we had a peach tree in our backyard and they remain my favorite summer treat. Along with summer peaches, you think backyard bbq’s. My favorite two local bbq favorites are baby back ribs and burgers, so I decided why not combine all these wonderful local summer traditions.

Ingredients:

Dry rub:
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
3/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp white pepper

2 cloves garlic
1 1/2 lb ground beef
3/4 cups seasoned breadcrumbs
1/3 cup ketchup
1 egg
6 slices Colby Cheese

Glaze:
1 1/2 tbsp peach preserves
1 1/2 tbsp apricot preserves
1 tbsp teriyaki
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1/3 cup brown sugar

1 fresh peach
6 Hamburger Buns

Instructions:

1) Mix all ingredients for the dry rub together.

2) Chop 2 cloves garlic.

3) Thouroughly mix beef, garlic egg, dry rub, and bread crumbs until evenly mixed.

4) Form mixture into 6 evenly sized patties.

5) Heat grill to 450 and then turn heat down to medium.

6) Cook patties approximately 5-6 minutes, flip, and repeat.

7) While cooking patties combine all the ingredients for the glaze in a pan over the grill heat allowing the sugar to caramelize and mix into a smooth glaze.

8) Slice peach into 6 slices approximately 1/4″ thick.

9) Glaze both sides of each slice of peach and grill for 1 minute on each side.

10) After burgers have been grilled for 5 minutes on each side, lightly glaze each side of each burger patty, and put back on grill with a slice of colby cheese on each patty.

11) Allow cheese to melt.

12) Put 1 burger patty and 1 peach slice on each hamburger bun.

13) Enjoy!!!
