2lbs. Ground Chuck
2 tsp salt
2 tsp pepper
2 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder and 1/2 tsp MSG.
Divide ground chuck into 6 burgers. Being careful to handle as little as possible patty burgers loosely. Sprinkle each patty with garlic powder, MSG (lightly), pepper, salt and onion powder. Flip patties and repeat. Let burgers sit in refrig until ready to grill (up to 12 hours). Preheat grill to medium heat and cook covered until juices run clear. Don't touch burgers while they are cooking unless the flames flare up. After juices run clear flip burger and cook for 5 more minutes. Turn off heat and add cheese. Close cover to melt.
Handling the meat as little as possible while making patties is key. Keep the cover down while cooking and flip as juices run clear. Some burgers may take longer that others. Only flip burgers once and don't push down with spatula at all. These burgers are easy, juicy and delicous.
