Green Chili Bacon Burger

Ingredients:

3 pounds of ground beef
3 fresh poblano chilies
6 slices of bacon
1 6 ounce container of pimento cheese
2 ripe avocados
6 potato buns

Instructions:

roast poblano chilies on in-direct high heat for 30 minutes. Take off the grill, scrape away blackened skin, remove seeds, and cut into 6 halves. Place bacon on direct high heat for 30 seconds each side, then place on in-direct heat for an additional 10 minutes. Make 6 1/2 pound burger patties and place on direct high heat. Grill for 4 minutes on one side then 3 on the other side. On the last minute of grilling the hamburger patties, spread each patty with one ounce of pimento cheese. Place each cooked patty on the bottom of the potato buns. Top each burger with half of a roasted poblano chili, one slice of bacon, and two slices of avocado. Place top of bun on each burger and serve.
