Greek Burger with Oregano Mayo

Ingredients

1 lb. of ground beef (85% lean)
½ cup crumb feta cheese, packed
2 big garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 tsp. Spike (not heaping, All Natural seasoning)
2 Tbsp. Olive oil
1 red bell pepper (chopped into strips)
½ Red Onion (chopped into strips)
½ cup light Mayonnaise
1 tsp. ground Oregano
½ tsp. garlic salt
Sourdough buns
Organic red leaf lettuce
Organic red tomato

 

Instructions

Burgers Mix meat, feta cheese, garlic, and Spike in metal bowl with hands then form patties. And turn on Sunbeam Grill gas low (100 to 140 degrees) and wait 5 minutes. Then lightly brush Olive oil on the grill. Place all six patties on the grill. For slightly pink in middle, it takes about 13 minutes. While the burgers are cooking, sauté onions and peppers. In frying pan put 1 Tbsp. ½ tsp. of Olive Oil over medium heat, chopped strips of red bell pepper. Sauté the peppers for 1 minute than add chopped strips of red onion, cook for 5 minutes. Once they are slightly brown turn off burner. Oregano Mayonnaise (may prepare mayonnaise before hand and leave in refrigerator) Mix in small bowl or container with cover, mayonnaise, ground oregano and garlic salt. Add more garlic salt to your taste. Time to build your burger: Sourdough bun, mayonnaise mixture on both half of bread, burger, lettuce and tomato.
