Gotta Love Onions Burger

Ingredients

2 pounds ground chuck
1 packet onion soup seasoning
1 tablespoon steak seasoning
6 Vidalia onion slices 1/4 inch thick
3 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
Salt and pepper
Vegetable oil for grill
6 slices deli sliced baby Swiss cheese
1/2 cup real mayonnaise
1/2 cup Cream cheese with chives
1/2 packet Onion soup seasoning
1/4 stick spreadable Butter
1/8th tablespoon Onion salt
6 Onion buns
6 leaves of romaine lettuce
6 tomato slices

 

Instructions

Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover, or preheat gas grill to medium-high. Combine 2 pounds of beef with 1packet of onion soup seasoning, and 1 tablespoon steak seasoning together (handle the meat as little as possible to avoid compacting beef) Divide hamburger into 12 balls Press 6 burger balls into burger patties. Take each onion ring and flatten on 6 of the burger patties. Take ½ tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and dribble on top of onion ring. Take final 6 burger balls and flatten around top of each onion ring and pinch the top beef and the bottom beef together to form a hamburger (showing no sign of the onion inside) Salt and pepper the top and bottom of the hamburgers. Brush grill with vegetable oil. Place burgers on grill Cook on each side for 12 minutes In the last 2 minutes of cooking burger on the 2nd side, place 1 piece of deli baby Swiss on each burger. To make sauce combine ½ cup real mayonnaise with ½ cup of cream cheese with chives. Mix together and then add ½ packet of Lipton onion soup seasoning, mix until smooth. Take 1/4 stick of butter mix with 1/8 tablespoon of onion salt then spread onto insides of 6 onion buns. Place the buns butter side down on the grill for 5 minutes. Place lettuce leaf on bottom bun, top with onion lover’s burger, tomato slice, onion-mayo and top bun.
