Garner's Cabernet Onion Burgers

We are some of the biggest, everything's bigger in Texas, consumers of Sutter Home Wines. Your Chardonnay is my favorite. But we also drink and cook with Cabernet Savignon as well as the other varities. The Garner's live on Lake Lewisville. Since our home and patios overlook the lake, we have many friends that stop by to BBQ and just watch the sun go down. There is always a toast and the ring of our bell at sundown. But to toast in the sundown, we are always using Sutter Home. It is a favorite of all of our friends some of which have wine cellars and describe themselves as wine specialists. This recipe is just one that we use to bring down the sunset.

4 large yellow onions (Texas 1015 if possible)
1 T Calovita Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 bottle (less 1/2 cup) Cabernet Savignon
2 pound ground Angus Beef chuck
1/4 cup of Sutter Home Cabernet Savignon
1 T Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard
2 T  Steak Sauce
1 t salt
1 t fresh ground pepper
8 slices of sharp cheedar cheese
8 large hamburger buns
1 t butter
1 t Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard
2 ripe Haas Califonia Avocados

Cut up 4 large onions into rings. Saute in Calovita Olive Oil until translucent. Add the remaining amount of Sutter Home Cabernet Savignon. Simmer over low heat until absorbed. Add 6 ingredients. Shape into 8 patties. Grill until done to preferred temperature. Top with Cheddar Cheese and grill until melted. Spread buns with butter and heat on grill. Spread grilled buns with Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard. Add cooked onions and sliced California Haas Avocado.

Cook to medium well at most. Serve with Sutter Home Cabernet Savignon and watch the sun go down. By the way, make sure you ring the bell and lite the candles. Yall come by now. The Garners
