Flower Power Burger

I love the pungent almost horseradish flavor of Nasturtiums in salad so the idea came to add them to a burger. After testing, I came up with this combination that even my kids love.

1 cup of loosely collected Nasturtium flowers
1 tsp of fresh cilantro
1 tsp of fresh flat leaf parsley
1 tsp of Angostra aromatic bitters
2 cups of 93% lean ground beef
Sliced Muenster Cheese
1 tbls of Avocado
1/4 cup mayonaise
Farmhouse Rolls
1 slice of Tomato
1 thin slice of Sweet Onion

Take the Nasturtium flowers, cilantro, and parsley and mince in food processor. Once minced it will make about 1.75 - 2 tbls of the spice mixture. Mix spice with Angostra with the ground beef until well distributed through the beef. Mix avocado and mayonaise in food processor and set aside. Cook burgers on the grill till done and then add Muenster till melted. Put slice of onion on the bottom of the roll, and then add burger on onion. Pat tomato dry with clean paper towel, and place tomato on top of cheese. Add avocado mayonaise to top of roll and then you are ready to eat.

This burger provides a great main entree to Sutter Home White Zinfandel along with yellow squash sliced long ways 1/4 inch thick and marinated in Colavita Extra Virgin Olive and salt and pepper and grilled until tender.
