Family Best Fish Burger

This is a fantastic healthy alternative burger sure to please the most finicky palate


4 tbs enriched flour
1 tsp. dried basil
salt and pepper to taste
2 organic eggs
2 tbs. olive oil
4 cups bread crumbs
splash of lemon juice
2 tbs. Sutter Home White Zinfadel
2 lbs. tilapia (or halibut)


In a plate, combine flour, basil, salt and pepper. In a seperate bowl, beat the oil with the eggs, lemon juice and wine. Place the bread crumbs in a seperate plate. Wash and cut fish into bun-size pieces. Dip each fillet of fish into the flour mixture, then into the egg, and then press each side of the fish into the breadcrumbs. Place on perforated aluminum foil on the grill. Cook for about 4 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 4 minutes until fillets are brown.


Serve on toasted or grilled whole wheat buns with lettuce, tomato, relish and mayonaise.
