Duchess Royal Juicy Burgers

Ingredients

1/3 c sutter home merlot wine
1/4 cup of dried chopped onions
2 lbs ground round beef
1/2 c crumbs from crushed Kettle buffalo bleu potato chips
2/3 C feta cheese crumbled type divide in half
1/2 t powdered ginger
1/4 c any dry powdered rub 
3 cups sliced mushrooms
1 large onion sliced thin
1/4 c sutter home chardonnay wine
3 T Colavita extra virgin olive oil
1 T soy sauce
6 onion rolls
3 avocadoes sliced
romaine lettuce g
rey poupon mustard

 

Instructions

In a mixing bowl add the wine to the dried onions to reconstitue them let sit for a couple of minutes then add the ground round and start mixing by hand adding as you go, half of the crumbled feta cheese setting aside the other half, the powdered ginger. add the blue cheese crumbled potato chips mixing well. divide evenly into 6 portions making the burger pattys on a sheet of wax paper. Place them on a tray covered with wax paper and coat them lightly on both sides with the grub rub. Chill the patties in the frig covered with more wax paper for about 15 minutes so they don't come apart when you flip em on the grill. in the mean time: heat the olive oil on med high, add the sliced onions and mushrooms sauteeing while adding the soy sauce and wine. cook until onions and mushrooms are tender. set aside and keep warm. slice the avocadoes. rinse off the romaine lettuce leaves and let drain, slice one large fresh tomato. grill the burgers 5 min on each side for medium well or till done to everyones satisfaction. spread the grey poupon on the onion rolls..next add that the hot grilled burger patty..then load em with the mixture of grilled onions and mushrooms..throw on a romaine leaf, a slice of tomato and avocado slices and enjoy a burger made for a king and his castle.
