Daddy's Great Hamburgers!

I make these all of the time, especially during the summer, since I love to grill out on our deck to enjoy the South's typcally warm weather from March through November!


1 lbs. - ground sirloin hamburger meat
3 tsp. - Sutter Home White Zinfandel
2 tsp. - worchestershire sauce
1.5 tsp. - ground pepper
1.5 tsp. - salt (prefer sea salt)
1/2 tsp. - dried ground sage
1/2 tsp. - dried oregano
1/2 tsp. - dried ground red pepper
1/2 tsp. - chili powder
1 tsp. - garlic powder
2 tbl. - sesame seeds
1/2 tsp. - dried rosemary
1/2 tsp. - dried dill weed
1/2 tsp. - paprika
dash of  hot pepper sauce


Combine all ingredients thoroughly and shape into 4 large or 5 medium beef patties. Grill thoroughly until desired doneness is reached. Serve on onion rolls or other gourmet hamburger buns, along with garnish (mustard, catchup, pickles, onions, lettuce, tomato -- Daddy likes to substitute cocktail sauce and brown mustard and sweet pickles) Serve with french fries or chips (Daddy likes  Spiced Sweet Potato Chips) and plenty of Sutter Home White Zinfandel for the adults! Recipe can be doubled or tripled in case guests are coming!
