Cranberry Burger

Pairs well with:

White Merlot

Imagine sipping a lighter Merlot. This fresh, pale-pink wine is a nice change from traditional red or white wines.

Ingredients

2 pounds lean gruond beef,
1 teaspoon salt,
2 teaspoon pepper,
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano,
1 teaspoon dried onion flakes,
1 teaspoon Parmesan cheese,
1/2 cup dried bread crumbs
SAUCE
11/2 cups chili sauce,
12 ounce jellied cranberry sauce,
2 teaspoon lemon juice,
2 tablespoon brown sugar.

 

Instructions

Combine ground beef, salt, pepper, oregano, onion flakes, Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs in a large bowl. Make into patties. Cook burgers for 10 minutes. To prepare the sauce, combine chili sauce, cranberry sauce, lemon juice and brown sugar in a saucepan. Cook over mediumheat until jelly is melted. Put burgers in sauce cover and allow to simmer on low for 30 minutes. Serve on hard rolls with lettuce and tomatoes and amount of mayannoise.
