Confetti Burger

This burger is a low fat, healthy yet hadry burger. It's not a vegetarian burger, but a very interesting "alternative" to the every day griller. Not only is it very tasty, but also beautiful! On a bun or on a plate, it's sure to be the hit of the summer cookout, and the best looking burger yet!

1 pd. lean ground beef
1 pd. ground turkey breast
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup of Snyder of Hanover Hard Pretzels, ground
1 tsp. salt (or to taste)
1 tsp. pepper (or to taste)
1 tbsp + 1 tsp colavita extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup zuchinni in small cubes
1/3 cup yellow pepper in small cubes
1/3 vidalia onion diced
1 tsp fresh garlic
1 tsp colavita balsamic vinegar

Start charcoal grill! gently kneed the beef and turkey so as to leave the marblized pattern that is achieved when combining the two different colored meats. fold in the two beaten eggs, the snyders pretzels and the salt and pepper, set aside add the tbsp of colavita olive oil to pan over high heat add the onion and brown, then the garlic. Saute until there is a nice carmelized reduction. Reduce heat to simmer, add zuchinni and pepper. Stir occationally until the peppers and zuchinni are cooked through. Remove from heat. Once the vegetables have cooled a little, gently kneed the vegetable mixture into the meat mixture. Let sit about 15 minutes, gently kneed again and then form large burgers, about 1/4 pd each. Cook over charcoal grill untill medium rare to meddium temperature. Serve with desired condiments on whole wheat bun.

I think that not only the taste of this burger is fabulous, but it is beautiful! It can be paired with a large variety of side dishes as well as a number of Sutter Homes wines!!! Pinot Grigio, Point Noir, Merlot, Cabernet, or a zinfandel! It's so awesome!! TRY IT!!! Thank you, Stewart
