Chicken n' Friends Bistro Burger

I developed this recipe from a dinner entree and side dish. I love the combination of it all. The burger is made out of ground chicken, or turkey if preferred, grilled then topped with thinly sliced ham and melted smoked provolone cheese. A sweet  BBQ sauce is drizzled over the burger, ham and cheese and topped with a simple cilantro cole slaw.It is all sandwiched on a toasted Kaiser roll.


1 - 2 lbs ground chicken
8 slices of deli ham
4 slices smoked provolone cheese
Sweet BBQ sauce,
1/2 head of cabbage, shredded
3 T. chopped cilantro
1/4 C. mayo
1 tsp. sugar
salt & pepper to taste
4 soft Kaiser rolls, split


Form ground chicken into 4 thick patties Grill on both sides until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees While grilling mix up cole slaw: Mix together mayo, sugar, salt, pepper and cilantro. Add to cabbage then toss until coated. Once burgers are fully cooked add ham and cheese to top. Grill Kaiser rolls until toasted then assemble burger: Bottom bun drizzle of BBQ sauce chicken burger with 2 slices of deli ham and 1 slice of cheese drizzle of BBQ sauce cole slaw top bun


This is easy, pleasing to the eye, and mmmm good!
