Cheddar Apple Turkey Burgers with Cranberry Maple Glaze

This recipe was inspired by my love of "Big Juicy Burgers". A few years ago I was diagnosed with Lupus and needed to eliminate red meat from my diet. I also discovered I was allergic to Beef... after many months of longing for a yummy burger, I decided to try some options with Turkey. My friends and family now prefer my Turkey Bugers to the traditional Beef Burgers! I hope you will enjoy these as much as I do. Thanks for considering my recipe and Enjoy!

2 lbs of Ground Turkey Breast
1 cup of finely shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 Tbsp Prepared Horseradish
2 tsp McCormick Montreal Grill Seasoning
4 Scallions, thinly sliced
1 large Gala Apple, peeled, cored and shredded on the large holes of a box grater
1/2 cup of Jellied Cranberry Sauce
1 Tbsp of Pure Maple Syrup
Olive Oil for brushing Grill
6 Artisan-Style rolls, split and lightly buttered
6 slices Swiss Cheese
Hearty-Style Mustard
Romaine Lettuce Leaves

In a large bowl, gently mix Turkey, shredded Cheddar, Horshradish, Grill Seasoning, Scallions and shredded Apple. Form into 6 equal size patties. In a small bowl, whisk together Cranberry sauce and Maple syrup, set aside. Brush grill with Olive Oil and heat to 400 degrees. While the grill is preheating, spread rolls with butter and toast until golden. Grill Burgers 5-7 minutes on each side. Brush with Cranberry-Maple Glaze on last turn. Spread one side of each roll with Mustard, top with lettuce leaf, the other side wth Swiss slice. Top with hot Burgers from the grill, serve and enjoy!
