Paired or alone, there's something magical about this creamy wine that nods to yummy peaches and sinful delights.

Ingredients

2 pounds ground pork
1/2 cup applesauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 cup Sutter Moscato wine
1 cup apple jelly
1/2 cider vinegar
1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
1 large granny smith apple, pared,cored and cut into thin strips
1/2 cup mayonnaise
3 cups shredded cabbage
3 tablespoons butter, softened
6 potato hamburger buns

 

Instructions

In large bowl, combine pork, applesauce and salt. Divide into 6 portions and shape into patties. Combine paprika and cumin, sprinkle on both sides of each patty. When coals are ready, place patties on grill rack. Cover and cook for 8-10 minutes or until bottoms are seared. While patties are cooking, combine wine, jelly, vinegar, and hot pepper sauce in small saucepan and set on grill rack, stirring until jelly has liquified,stirring constantly. After turning patties,brush top side with the sauce. Remove the sauce pan from the grill, continue cooking patties until done. Combine apple, mayonnaise, cabbage and 1/4 cup of the sauce, Toss together and chill until ready to serve. Butter the cut sides of the buns and place around outer edge of grill until lightly toasted. When patties are done, remove and brush with remaining sauce, place on buns and top with the slaw. Makes 6 burgers.
