Bloody Mary Burger

My husband and I were talking about what type of burger I should make for the contest over some cocktails. We thought of this type of burger. It was fun to make. I really believe its tastes like a Bloody Mary.

3/4 lbs 81% ground beef
3/4 lbs ground sausage
1 1/2 tsp celery salt
2 1/2 TBSP tomato paste
1/2 cup diced green onion
Pepper Jack cheese sliced
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup diced green olives
1 celery stalk diced
Fresh ground pepper
Onion buns
oil for the grill
hot sauce

Mix together the ground beef, ground sausage, celery salt, tomato paste, and freshly ground pepper. Make your patties. Place them on a grill that is 350 degrees (I use charcoal) and cook for 12-14 minutes. Flipping only once. Meanwhile I make my salsa topping for the burger. Mix together my diced tomatoes, celery, green onion, and olives. I add just a splash of hot sauce and ground pepper. I also like to toast my buns. I place them on the grill for about 4-5 minutes. Once the burgers and buns are done, I top them with my "salsa" Thats it!

I hope you enjoy! Thanks Tina
