Ingredients

1 pound ground chuck
1 egg
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 avocado, sliced
4 soft Kaiser rolls, split

Instructions

Preheat a gas grill to medium-high heat. To make the patties, combine ground chuck, egg, honey, worcestshire and soy sauce. Mix lightly. Add breadcrumbs, chili powder, oregano, crushed red pepper, salt and black pepper. Mix together being careful not to overmix. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and form patties to fit the rolls. Make a slit in the side of each burger approximately 3/4 of the way through and insert one or two slices of avocado. Pinch edge of the burger to seal. Place burgers on the pre-heated grill, cover, grill 5 to 7 minutes on each side (160 degrees internal temp). When burgers are cooked, remove from grill and keep warm. Place split Kaiser rolls on the grill, cut side down, and toast lightly. Place one burger on each roll and serve. Makes 4 burgers.
