Asiago GridIron Burger with fresh herb and sweet balsamic greens on grilled foaccia

Ingredients

PATTY- Ingredients will make one large meat patty to fit round focaccia loaf serves 6

2 pounds ground sirloin
2 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
4 teaspoons Grill Creations Weber Chicago Steak Seasoning
2 Tablespoons Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tablespoons Lea & Perrins Steak Sauce
1 teaspoon Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil

HERB SAUCE
4 Tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice ( 2 ) lemons
2 Tablespoons high quality aged balsamic vinegar ( Fini )
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/3 cup Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon finely chopped fresh Thyme
1 Tablespoon finely chopped fresh Basil
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh Rosemary
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh oregano

GREENS
6 Cups baby spring salad greens

1 loaf focaccia bread ( such as Ecce Panis or other fresh baked focaccia ) can be found in most grocery stores

2 Tablespoons Colavita Extra virgin olive oil ( for brushing bread and grill

1/4 teaspoon kosher salt ( to sprinkle on burger just before putting on the grill grate )

6 slices Asiago Cheese ( Such as Hoffman

 

Instructions

DIRECTIONS
Preheat gas grill to medium high

TO MAKE PATTY
Combine ground sirloin, salt, pepper, Weber Chicago seasoning, worcestershire sauce, steak sauce, olive oil, in a large bowl. Mix well and form one large patty to fit the entire surface of focaccia bread. Set aside

TO MAKE HERB SAUCE
In a small bowl combine lemon juice, balsamic vinegar,salt, pepper, olive oil, and chopped herbs. Whisk with wire whisk until creamy consistency. About 2 minutes. Set aside ( be sure to whisk again before adding to greens )

Place 6 cups salad greens in medium size bowl. Set aside

Split focaccia bread in 2 pieces to form large bun. Top and bottom. Brush cut side of top and bottom bread wit holive oil. Set aside

When grill is ready brush the grill grate with olive oil. Place the patty over direct heat on the grate. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon dosher salt, close lid. Grill for 8-9 minutes and flip burger. ( you can use 2 large spatula
