American Kobe Guac Burger

Cabernet Sauvignon

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.

Ingredients

6 medium Tomatillos (husked and halved)
3 California Avocados (medium size)
1/2 Red Onion (minced fine)
2 Serrano chiles mince fine w/seeds
2 tsp kosher salt (divided)
2 tsp Freshly cracked blk pepper
1/2 cup Cilantro
1 lb American Kobe Beef (ground)
1/4 cup Sutter Homes Cabernet Sauvignon
2 tsp Garlic powder
2 slices Monteray Jack cheese
2 sesame seeded hamburger rolls
3 Tbsp unsalted Butter
1 lime

 

Instructions

8 hrs ahead: Husk and halve the tomatillos lightly salt and on baking sheet place under broiler cut side up, broil for 6-7 mins turn over and broil 4-5 more. Remove and reserve. In lg bowl combine chiles, onion, itsp salt pepper and tomatillo mash with fork to form paste. Pit and peel avocados and add to mixture. Mash until incorporated but still chunky. Squeeze lime juice in mix and cover. To prepare Hamburger: Mix hamburger, 1/2 wine, remaining salt and pepper and garlic powder w/o squeezing mixture form into patties. In 8" non stick skillet melt 2 Tbsp add remaining wine, butter fry patty turning only once cook to med rare about 2 mins fron being done place cheese on to melt. Lightly butter both sides of roll and toast. Before placeing hamburger on bottom of roll spread guacamole, place hamburger on top of guacamole and top. Enjoy!!
